 icle IV of both the Constitution and By-Laws of the Sons of The American\n
 Legion\, Detachment of New York\, the Annual Convention is hereby called b
 y order of the\nDetachment Executive Committee and Detachment Commander Pe
 ter J. DeAngelis\, Jr. for the\nfollowing purposes:\n1) To complete all bu
 siness of the Detachment for the fiscal year.\n2) To vote on any Resolutio
 ns which are typed and properly submitted in\naccordance with the Detachme
 nt Manual.\n3) To vote on any Amendments to the Constitution and By-Laws w
 hich are typed\nand submitted in accordance with Article XII.\n4) To elect
  a Commander\, Five (5) Vice Commanders\, a Chaplain\, and an Historian.\n
 \nDelegates &amp\; Alternates:\nRepresentation of Delegates shall be allot
 ted in accordance with\nArticle IV\, Section 2 of the Constitution. Each C
 ounty shall be\nallowed two (2) Delegates and (2) Alternates and one (1) a
 dditional\nDelegate and Alternate for each ten (10) members or major fract
 ion\nthereof\, paid up to Detachment HQ thirty (30) days prior to\nConvent
 ion.\n\nDelegate Registration:\nThe Registration Fee is $20.00 per member.
  A blank Registration Form is included in this\nnotification. A check\, pa
 yable to “Sons of The American Legion Detachment of New York”\, must\n
 be received with the Registration Form at Detachment HQ fifteen (15) days 
 prior to Convention\nfor pre-registered delegates and alternates. No cash 
 is accepted. All delegates and alternates\nmust produce a valid Membership
  Card to register. There will be no exceptions! Those who do\nnot pre-regi
 ster may register at the Convention\, provided they make payment by check\
 , have\ncompleted the Registration Form\, and meet all other requirements.
  Delegates and alternates will\nreceive their credentials and convention p
 acket upon check-in at the Credentials table at\nConvention.\nLodging:\nLo
 dging is at the Holiday Inn – Niagara Falls\, 114 Buffalo\nAve. in Niaga
 ra Falls\, NY July 16-19\, 2024. The room\nrate is $169 per night plus 9%
